Attendance list

Names in, choose columns, print: for a course, training, parents' evening and volunteer work. With a wide column for the signature or a date grid to tick off.

Applies to Germany. Deadlines, tax rates, public holidays and requirements on this page follow German law. Austria, Switzerland and other countries have different rules.
Reuse a list

Your browser remembers nothing. “Save as file” writes names and settings into a JSON file on your device, “Load from file” brings them back for the next course.

Header of every page

You can leave out everything here, empty entries do not appear in the header. With the date grid and no date, the first and last date appear on their own.

Put a phone number or email after the name with a semicolon, and they appear in the column “Phone / email”. Empty lines are dropped, at most 1,000 names.

0 to 200, at the end of the list. Without names, this becomes an empty list to fill in.

Custom columns

Up to six, for example “Homework” as a box or “Parents” as a signature. A column without a title does not appear on the list.

    Sheet (A4)
    Row height

Normal: 7 mm, enough for ticking. Comfortable: 10 mm, room for a signature.

    Preview

When printing, choose “Actual size” or “100%”, not “Fit to page”. Otherwise the rows become lower than set.

Names are personal dataThe list is created only here in your browser, nothing is uploaded. Anyone who posts it or passes it around shows everyone the names: phone numbers and email addresses do not belong on the bulletin board. Keep filled-in lists only as long as you need them.

Other lists: Table to PDF · Checklists and paper · Address labels

Names and settings stay on this device. The PDF is created here in your browser, nothing is uploaded or saved.

    How it works
    1. 01Enter a title and details for the header, then the names: type or paste one per line, or load a CSV or text file and say in which column the name is.
    2. 02Choose columns (signature, present, paid, phone / email, remark, custom) or a date grid: every week from a start date, public holidays and vacations skipped, or your own list of dates.
    3. 03Choose sheet and row height, download the PDF and print at “Actual size”. The header and column headings appear on every page, and at the bottom “Page 1 of 2”.

Rows and pages. Every row is the same height: normal 7 mm, comfortable 10 mm. With a signature column, no row is lower than 9 mm, even at “normal”. How many rows fit on a page depends on the header: in portrait with just a title it is 25 comfortable rows, 36 normal rows without a signature column. The preview tells you exactly. Names stand on one line; if one is too long for the column, it ends with … and the page says how many are affected. Landscape or fewer columns give more room.

Sorting. By last name, alphabetically. The last name is what stands before the comma (“Miller, Erica”), otherwise the last word (“Erica Miller”). For compound names without a comma (“Anna von Berg”), better write the name as “von Berg, Anna”.

Date grid. Up to 20 dates as columns, each with a box. Regular means: from the first date every week or every two weeks, until the number is reached. If a date falls on a public holiday of the chosen German state (Bundesland) or into one of your vacation periods, it is skipped, and the page shows which days were left out. The public holidays come from the same building block as “Dates & deadlines” and apply from 1995; local holidays (such as the Augsburg peace festival) are missing, and Corpus Christi is not included in Saxony and Thuringia because it applies there only in individual municipalities. The page skips Assumption Day in Bavaria, although it applies there only in mostly Catholic municipalities; it then says so. If the desired number is not found in the five years after the first date, the page says how many it became. The page does not know school vacations: enter them yourself, also in the short form 26.10.-30.10.2026. If the date columns do not fit in the width, the page says how many fit and offers landscape.

Names from a file. CSV with semicolon, comma, tab or vertical bar, also saved from Excel as “CSV UTF-8”, or a text file with one name per line. If the columns are called name, last name, first name, email or phone, they are assigned on their own. The page does not read Excel files (.xlsx): copy the cells there and paste them into the text field. “Save names as CSV” gives the names back as CSV for Excel; the file can also be loaded here again.

Characters. The PDF is set in Helvetica. Umlauts, ß, é and ñ work. Letters like ł or ș become the nearest base letter, emojis and Cyrillic or Greek script are not possible in the PDF font: a question mark appears there. The page names both beforehand.

Limits. Only A4, portrait or landscape, one font, no colors or logos. Up to 1,000 names, 200 empty rows, 6 custom columns, 20 dates and 100 pages. In the date grid, next to the dates there is only No. and name, no further columns.
