Table as PDF
The list from Excel, the export from the cash register: here it is set readably on A4, for printing or sending. No Excel, no upload.
In Excel, select the cells, copy them and paste them here (the columns are then separated by tabs). The table appears by itself when you paste.

Columns: show, order, rename
Uncheck a column and it stays out of the PDF. The arrows move a column left or right. In the field below, you change the heading as it appears in the PDF. Completely empty columns are already unchecked.
Numbers by their value (2 before 10), dates by date, otherwise alphabetically (German rules). Empty cells come last.
Automatic: as large as the columns fit side by side across the width, at most 11 pt and never below 6 pt.
Wrap: the whole text is in the PDF, the row gets taller. Cut off: one line, it ends with … and the rest is missing.
Appears above the table on the first page and in small print in the footer.
The preview appears as soon as the table is read.
When printing, choose “Actual size” or “100%”, not “Fit to page”. Otherwise the printer shrinks the page a second time.

Your table stays on this device. The PDF is made here in your browser, nothing is uploaded or saved.
How it works
- 01In Excel, copy the cells and paste them above, or load a CSV, TSV or text file. The delimiter and the header are detected; if something is wrong, you change it.
- 02Leave out, reorder or rename columns, sort by a column, choose sheet and font. The preview shows right away what the page looks like and says what it did to make everything fit.
- 03Download the PDF and print it with “Actual size”, or send it. The text in the PDF is real text: you can select and search it.
Font and width. The font is chosen as large as possible (at most 11 pt) so that all columns fit side by side across the width. If that only works below 8 pt, long cells prefer to wrap (or are cut off, if you chose that) as long as the words still have room. If that is not enough either, this applies: down to 6 pt if everything then fits without wrapping; otherwise the columns go on several pages side by side, the first column on each. The automatic setting never goes below 6 pt. The column widths are measured from the content, using the metrics of the font the PDF is set in. If you choose a font by hand, it stays, and the page spreads, wraps or cuts off whatever is needed for that.
When the table does not fit. Spread tables are output one column part at a time: first all rows of the left columns, then those of the next. The footer says which part it is. If you turn spreading off, everything stays on one page width, at 6 pt, and long cells are cut off; the page then says how many. A row is never split across two pages. If a single cell is taller than a whole page, its end is cut off with …, and that is noted.
Characters. The PDF is set in Helvetica, the standard font of every PDF program. Umlauts, ß, é, ñ, ø and the euro sign work. Letters like ł, ș, ć become the nearest base letter, and everything else (Cyrillic, Greek, Chinese, emoji, arrows) the font cannot do: a question mark appears in its place. The page tells you both beforehand, with the character and the number of cells.
Numbers. What is in a cell is never recalculated or written differently: 1.250,50 stays 1.250,50. A column is right-aligned if at least 90% of its filled cells are numbers (written the German or English way, also with €, % or a minus at the end). Columns named like a number or identifier (no., ID, postal code, phone, year, account) stay left, as do numbers with a leading zero such as 01067. Numbers are sorted by value, dates by date (24.09.2026 or 2026-09-24), otherwise by the German alphabet.
Limits. Only A4, portrait or landscape, one font, no colors, borders, merged cells or images from Excel: only the text of the cells comes through. The page does not read Excel files (.xlsx); copy the cells or save them in Excel as “CSV UTF-8”. Up to 20 MB, 50,000 rows (with the header), 200 columns and 5,000 pages. Empty rows at the end are dropped, empty rows in the middle stay. For very large tables, creating the PDF takes a few seconds; the preview shows only one page at a time.
