Vouchers
Gift vouchers to print, with a running number for a shop, salon, practice, restaurant or club: as DL, A6, A5 or A4 with cut marks, plus a list of all numbers to tick off.
Reuse a template
Your browser remembers nothing. Save your entries as a file and load it again next time, then you continue with the next number.
Your business
At most three lines. Each line stays one line.
PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF, at most 3 MB. It sits at the top left of every voucher.
Rich, rather dark colors that any office printer renders cleanly.
The voucher
Appears large and in capital letters at the top, e.g. Voucher or Gift voucher.
Appears after “for” on the voucher, at most two lines.
Keep it short: at most three lines of small print.
To sign on your phone: save the PDF and add the signature under /en/pdf/sign/.
Number and code
{nnn} becomes the running number, with as many n as digits: {nnn} gives 007, {n} gives 7.
1 to 500 per run.
Readable with any phone. Contains the number, or if you want a link with the number.
For the barcode scanner at the register. Only letters without umlauts, digits and common characters.
Only the number as text.
{nr} becomes the number of the voucher. Without {nr}, the number is appended at the end.
Date and validity
As of September 2026: statutory limitation period of three years, counted from the end of the year of issue (§ 195 and § 199 BGB), please verify. A shorter period needs a factual reason, otherwise it can be invalid.
The suggestion follows date and period. If you change the text, it stays as you wrote it.
Format
All landscape: DL 210 × 99 mm, A6 148 × 105 mm, A5 210 × 148 mm, A4 297 × 210 mm. Printed on A4.
The preview appears as soon as the entries are right.
In the print dialog, choose “Actual size” or “100%”, not “Fit to page”. Then cut along the marks.
The list is the control, not the code: enter there who got which voucher and when it was redeemed.
Only numbers on labels? Code labels as a sheet · Tickets for a raffle? Raffle (German)
Your entries, numbers and logo stay on this device. PDF and list are created in your browser.
How it works
- 01Enter business, value and terms, with logo and color if you like.
- 02Set the number: a pattern like G-2026-{nnn}, a start value and a quantity. Each voucher gets the next number, and if you want also as a QR code or barcode.
- 03Choose a format, check the preview, create the PDF and save the voucher list as CSV with it. Print at “Actual size” and cut along the marks.
The list is the control. The code on the voucher contains only the number or your link with the number. It checks nothing and does not know whether a voucher has already been redeemed. Only your list knows that: when you sell one, enter to whom and when, and when it is redeemed, the date. A number that is not in the list or is already ticked off is not valid. The CSV opens in Excel, LibreOffice or Numbers. A spreadsheet can change numbers made of digits and separators when opening: it shows 007 without the zeros, and 1/2026 or 01-2026 as a date. A letter in front (G-007, G-1/2026) prevents that; the tool points this out under the preview.
Validity. If nothing else is printed on it, a voucher is valid until the claim expires: three years, counted from the end of the year in which it was issued (§ 195 and § 199 BGB, as of September 2026). A voucher issued on September 25, 2026 is therefore valid until December 31, 2029. The tool suggests exactly this text, and you can change it. A shorter period needs a factual reason, such as a concert on a fixed day, otherwise it can be invalid. For vouchers kept in stock, turn on “Enter the date by hand”: then a line appears instead of the date, together with the rule “Valid 3 years from the end of the year of issue”.
VAT. Since 2019 the VAT Act (Umsatzsteuergesetz) distinguishes single-purpose and multi-purpose vouchers. Whether VAT is due at the sale or only at redemption depends on that. Which kind yours is and how you book it, please clarify with your tax advisor. The tool does not calculate tax.
Formats and cutting. All vouchers lie landscape and without gaps on A4: DL (210 × 99 mm) three times on portrait A4, A6 (148 × 105 mm) four times on landscape A4, A5 (210 × 148 mm) twice on portrait A4, A4 landscape singly. The cut marks sit at the edge of the sheet on the extension of each cut, and for A6 a small cross in the middle is added. If you cut with scissors, turn on “Draw cut lines through”; if you cut next to the line, a remainder of the line stays at the edge. Everything printed keeps at least 6 mm distance from the edge, because printers leave 3 to 5 mm free at the sheet edge.
What gets printed. The font is Helvetica, regular and bold; the tool cannot embed other fonts. Umlauts, ß and € work, emojis and characters from other scripts do not: the tool names them at the field. QR code and barcode are vector graphics and stay sharp. Texts that are too long are first set smaller and then shortened with “…”; this is then shown under the preview. The logo is scaled down in your browser to at most 900 pixels edge length and placed at the top left. SVG files do not work: save the logo as PNG first.
Save the template. “Save as file” writes all entries including the logo into a JSON file on your device. If you created a PDF or list beforehand, it also contains how far you got with the numbers. As long as this state is not saved, the browser asks when you close the page. “Load from file” reads the file again and offers to continue at the next start value. A file from another tool or with an unknown version is rejected instead of being half loaded.
Limits. At most 500 vouchers per run; for more, start the next run at the next start value. All vouchers of one run have the same value. The design is deliberately plain: color stripe, logo, Helvetica. If you want a motif or a decorative font, a graphics program or a print shop serves you better.
