Advent: calendar, idea notes and St. Nicholas
Emil counts the days until the holiday. Here you can make an advent calendar with 24 doors, 24 idea notes for small things to do together and cards for St. Nicholas Day. Ready as a PDF to print.
Leave empty for “My Advent Calendar”. At most 40 characters.
Optional, at most 30 characters. Without a name a writing line stays.
Mixed up is for children who search for numbers and practice. The mix is always the same.
The suggestions are small things to do at home: baking, reading aloud, crafts. You can also replace them with your own.
One idea per line, up to 24. Empty lines stay free to fill in.
Name of the child, at most 30 characters. Leave empty for a writing line.
At most 30 characters. Leave empty for a writing line.
Leave empty for “Your boot was not empty! Enjoy.” At most 160 characters.
Two cards per sheet, each the size of A5 landscape.
1 to 10 sheets.
The preview appears right away.
When printing, choose “Actual size” or “100%”. Everything is black on white, an ordinary printer is enough. With several cards per sheet, cut along the gray lines.
Your browser remembers nothing. To keep your entries, save them as a file on your own device.
Goes well with: Christmas workshop · Lantern parade · Recipe cards for baking (German) · Print a calendar
Nothing leaves this device. The PDF is made here in your browser, nothing is saved, not even names or dates.
Notes for parents and teachers
- 01Choose the calendar, idea notes or the cards for St. Nicholas Day and fill in the fields.
- 02The preview shows every page right away. Download the PDF and print it at actual size.
- 03For the calendar, tape a note or a small treat behind each door. Cut the idea notes along the lines and put them in 24 bags or envelopes.
The calendar. 24 doors on one A4 sheet. Children color the doors, cut them open or tick one off each day. No date is printed, so you can start whenever you like.
The idea notes. The 24 suggestions are small and cost almost nothing: time, a book, flour and sugar. If they do not fit, replace them with your own.
St. Nicholas Day. On 6 December many families and groups put a small treat in a boot. The card names only the day and the boot, how you celebrate it is up to you.
Font. The PDF uses Helvetica. Letters such as ł or ș become their base letter and emojis are dropped; the tool says so at the field.
