How it works
- 01Choose a PDF or drag it into the box.
- 02Choose a level: “Medium” is usually enough. “Strong” for viewing on a screen, “Light” if you still want to print it. Grayscale saves extra space.
- 03Tap “Compress PDF” and download the smaller file. Your original stays unchanged.
Every page is drawn in your browser, saved as a JPG and placed in a new PDF, at the original size of the page. That is why scans and photos shrink a lot, while text-only PDFs hardly shrink at all: They are already very compact, and the tool then tells you so instead of offering you a larger file. Large PDFs with many pages take a few seconds per page, a little longer on a phone.
