1 · Pictures

Theme
Tap pictures, you can choose several

Arrow keys move through the grid, space bar or Enter selects. The number in the box is the order.

The tool draws this many pictures from the theme according to the No., each only once. With several sets, every set draws anew with its own No.

Order

Shuffled arranges every set differently according to its No.

2 · Sheet

Pictures per sheet

One picture fills the whole A4 sheet.

Orientation

Automatic: portrait or landscape per page, whichever makes the pictures larger.

Lines

1.6 mm, for the youngest.

With 1 or 2 per sheet, for pictures that stand or fly.

Optional, such as “My Autumn Picture”. Leave empty for a sheet without a heading.

3 · Word under the picture

Word

Printed large, for reading and naming.

Lettering

4 · How many

1 to 30. Every set is all the chosen pictures once, with its own No.

1 to 999999. In small print at the bottom of every sheet. The same No. and the same settings give exactly the same sheets.

Preview page 1

The PNG contains the page from the preview at 300 dpi.

When printing, choose “Actual size” or “100%”, then the lines have the stated thickness.

Saves the selection, settings and No. as a JSON file on your device. If the heading contains a name, it is also in the file.

Simple shapes, no illustrationsThe tool builds every picture itself from circles, arcs, lines and curves. They are not drawn images and not well-known characters. For older kids there are mandalas or a coloring page from your own photo.

Goes well with: All kids tools · Learn to write (German) · Preschool signs (German) · Farm and seasons (German) · Connect the dots

Nothing leaves this device. The sheets, PDF and PNG are made here in your browser, nothing is stored.

How it works
  1. 01Tap a theme and choose pictures, or “Choose randomly” for a mix from the theme.
  2. 02Set how many pictures go on a sheet, how thick the lines are and whether the word appears underneath.
  3. 03Download the PDF and print at “Actual size”.

The pictures. 73 pictures, all made of simple shapes that the tool constructs itself. Each one was checked beforehand at full sheet size with a thick and a normal line. Anything that did not look clean (a line that goes over the edge, hardly any area to color) is not included.

Lines and areas. Very thick is 1.6 mm, thick 1.1 mm, normal 0.7 mm. Only eyes and small dots are black, on a whole sheet at most 2 cm across, no large areas. For every picture the tool measures the smallest area, that is, the largest circle that fits inside. If it is under 8 mm (very thick), 5 mm (thick) or 3.5 mm (normal), it tells you under the preview. Narrow slivers under 3 mm, where two lines almost meet, do not count.

The word. “Read” sets the name in Helvetica. “Trace” writes it dashed in a simple print font, optionally with guide lines. This is not a school handwriting font. With article it reads “der Apfel”, “die Kirschen”, “das Auto”.

The No. Every set has its own No., in small print at the bottom of every sheet. The same No. and the same settings give exactly the same sheets. It counts for “Choose randomly”, for “Shuffled” and for the small scene.

Small scene. The picture stands on a ground line, with a sun, a cloud or a flower added, in winter a star, moon or fir tree. This is only available with 1 or 2 per sheet and only for pictures that stand or fly. The small pictures cover nothing.

Limits. Only A4, at most 30 sets and 60 pages in one PDF. The words are the fixed names of the pictures, there are no custom words here. The heading is set in Helvetica: characters this font does not know (emoji, some letters of other languages) are dropped, and the field names them. The PNG has 300 dpi and shows the page from the preview.

Nothing is saved. The page remembers neither selection nor settings. The file from “Save to a file” contains the selection, the settings including the heading, and the No., no images. “Load from file” rejects files from other tools.
